High was 97 degrees here this past Sunday ("felt like" 102). Yes, the AC was on. Unfortunately, I was working outside most of the day...

Hit the switch 2 weeks ago. Wanted to make it until May but it's too humid. Set at 80 now, 81 at night.

Having it serviced later today.

The air handler does not seem to be talking with the compressor consistently.

Am guessing the 30-some year old mercury thermostat?

We have a total house maintenance contract with Pride, else would call Polar for help.

On. We live in a small, old house. It has central AC but it sucks. We set it at 79 during the day (summer months) and it starts blowing around 10 am and doesn't shut off till around 3 am. We added a wall unit that runs 24-7 set at 64. Electricity bill is mid 300's from May through October.

****! Light and sewer/water combined was a tad under 100 this month, and I like it cold at night.
