Lake Walk-in-Water

Me and a buddy are fishing a small tourney in a few weeks out at this lake. Neither of us have ever fished it, and probably won't have time to pre-fish either. If anyone is willing to give up a few pointers or general ideas to start with that would be great. Not asking for a specific bait, or how many times you twitch it, etc.. I know that can be annoying when people ask for that specific of information. So if anyone wants to share any info that would be great!

I have fished our church's tournament and we have tried various places like the Kissimmee River, Lake June, and Lake Walk in Water. The best fishing was Walk in Water, although that was a few years ago. I think that if you fish the usual weeds, lily pads that you like in other places that you might have some success.
