Messing with Blugills, and fishing March 14th 2015

Caught some nice bluegills (if you are prone to motion sickness do not watch the bluegill video when the fish hit the camera and get hooked), and then some peacocks and largemouth on livebait, and lipless crankbaits.

You guys are just out of control. I think it's time you guys got a 5wt fly rod. Whiter River at Bass Pro sells a ready to fish rig for about $89.00. The guy over on Federal Hwy at Ye Ole Boca Fly Shope sells a peacock fly that is devastating on the P's

Just curious, do you know where the big oak tree is that hurricane Wilma put in the water over on the east Winston Park lake? Just full of bass.

Keep up the good work fellers.

Never fished with fly before, would be interesting to try that out. The peacocks are just now making a comeback this year which is awesome. I don't know where that tree is. As of right now, we primarily target the irrigation pipes and such, the fish seem to like the pipes as structure hang out around. and its a little safer to fish around as opposed to a tree. although I did have to get into the water once before when a peacock took it upon himself to swim a couple times around the pipe and get the line stuck there.

The big oak is at the junction of the canal and the other lake from you, if I know where you are. I used to lived at 5440 NW 41st Way. Now follow that canal behind my house to the edge of the lake to the west. Right where the canal meets the lake. There is a big pipe there, and the largest oak tree in the area is dumped right next to it thanks to Wilma. I have so many stories to tell out of that tree. I hate to say it, but I miss that lake. I think the Pea's came back just as I left.
