Apple airport extreme wireless router help needed

Here is the number to Apple Care (800) 275-2273. Not sure if they work weekends but I've always found them helpful.

I have used the Airport Extreme and Airport Express for a number of years and believe they are very user friendly for for mac and pc users.

But Tarpon, why download or use anything for Airport Wifi, I do it all the time perhaps a password nothing more.

So when you are in Airport Utility, you are clicking on the airport device you have, then clicking the edit button, then clicking the Wireless tab, and then it's not letting you set up a password at this point?

No airport utility as I am connecting to a Windows PC, not MAC. Instructions say start,all programs,airport extreme but it doesn't show on my Windows.

I have wireless connection but it is open and I want to secure it

Parkerboy, it sounds to me that you need to download airport utility for windows and setup your WPA2 security from there. Here is the link: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1547

That would be me. I tried the switch to XFinnity, GMail and plain old Exchange and I find them less user friendly than AOL.

Nope, I am on cable at home, H.P. laptop (company provided) and I do use a Kindle fire hd. Company provides me with a new H.P. laptop every 18 mos and I get to keep the old one. I donate my old one to local church who will then give it to a needy child.
