4 spots

Well, the weather the last two days was a real crap sandwich. Wednesday I was busy so I really wanted to fish.
I tried to get in a little fishing yesterday before the rain but I had just over an hour with two bites that I missed and a single jack caught to kill the skunk before it all went in the toilet. What was kinda funny was I called the wife to ask about where the rain was since I could see a wall cloud. Now really, I could just look at my smart phone but to hear my wife try and describe things always makes me laugh. :grin And the smart phone, Well it says " 68 minutes till rain arrives at your location " What it REALLY meant was 68 SECONDS since I felt that 5 degree temp drop and wheeled around in time to see the rain shield bearing down on me at 100 yards. Then, I discover...while my bibs are in the boat...the top is not. I get wet.

Today, I decide to go again.... Wind is up out of the NE but I need to drink some coffee....
Get out and realize I left my wrist brace at home..not great since it does help with the pain....
Catch a couple trout and three jacks which is weird considering how and where I fish....and this guy.

Cold and spitting rain at 9:15....quit.
Tomorrow is not looking very promising ....

Many things to do.

You did better than me…I went out Wednesday evening for a couple of hours and got covered by big Lady Fish and swarms of small Bluefish south of the Wabasso Bridge….oh yeah, plenty of Jacks too.

Looks like the weekend is a washout once again.

Thanks guys...I really struggle when I can't see what i'm trying to catch...blind fishing can be tough.

Yeah...looks pretty dismal but the weather service has missed badly on forecasts in the past.
I was thinking the best seafood chance would be at the Grant Seafood festival this weekend.

That's been my issue - I blind cast more often then not. The water is usually too murky and the fish too far away to sight fish where I wade. So, all I do is try to up the odds so start at likely spot, look for bait/birds/signs of life, try different depths/lures, use stealth/long casts, cover a lot of water...........and once I catch one I work the area well. This has been one of the hardest winters to figure out - I was catching nice trout on top water Mon/but couldn't get a strike on any artis Wed.
There are only so many casts in life, so shut up and fish!!

    ....

Makes me think I should just have the bimini top on the boat (secured) for those "special" occasions. Darn thing is almost brand new and rarely gets on the boat of late, but, sometimes it has come in handy with the rain.

Might be a hour or so tomorrow morning that could allow for some fishing... have to keep an eye on the weather tonight.
