Thanks Pete that's a big help for me. I will be there in a month, and I am trying to find a few places to go with my kayak. Joe do you have any tips:shrug
First thing I do if I've stalked a fish and get within casting distance is to stake up. Or if I come up on one, and get a hookup- stake up before commencing the fight. I don't have to worry about getting pulled into structure so much, but there is usually wind to contend with and it helps keep me oriented on the spot/ school. I'm never keen on jumping in the water while distracted with other things.
Video is great until you showed exactly where it was and how to get there. Why?
Why not? This is a fishing forum. It is neither secret nor private...
I fish the Sebastian area daily and don't see that many kayaks or paddleboards up there...If a few Kayakers fish the area it is not going to change the fishing for me since I can just motor away.
And I guess this goes without saying....the area is not small...and the area is not loaded with fish ...Like most places there are "spots" that have a few.
There are many roads to travel
Many things to do.
Knots to be unraveled
'fore the darkness falls on you

I've never understood this mindset either. I've fished everywhere from Pineda Causeway down to Sebastian and back, and have had days when they were on fire and days where the kayak smelled more like skunk than fish. If you're catching a bunch in one spot today, chances are they'll be in a different spot tomorrow. Or, for that matter, in both. Or neither.
This idea that everyone on a forum is gonna show up at the exact same spot you were fishing and drop lures right beside you is just silly. And, like duckman said, if I paddle around a bend and see a guy fishing in a spot, I just paddle to a new one.
There's lots and lots and lots of water out there, with bunches of fish all over the place for us to catch. Share your spot or don't share, doesn't matter to me - I'm going where and when I can.
PS sharing a kayak launch spot is something kayak fishermen do. We don't have the luxury of launching in one place and motoring miles to a fishing spot, so anywhere we can find to safely launch (and park - thieves nowadays seem to outnumber the rest of us sometimes) closer to decent fishing grounds is a blessing.
I have 1000 spots that I fish and 1000 videos to make. If you think that spot was good, wait till you see my next video. I will show you where, how and when to fish. The chance that you will see me out there is slim. I have 1000 other spot to cover. I am glad you all like most of them.
