QDM Club in South Carolina Seeking a Couple Members

Five Notch Sportsman’s Club is an exclusive QDMA club located near Greenwood, South Carolina. Memberships include access to 2,200+ continuous acres with 35 club stands and over 28 food plots. We also have a club house on the property that is capable of sleeping all 12 members.

Season runs September 15th – January 1st.
Dues are $2,000.

We try to ensure that we are only harvesting trophies. If members aren't willing to fork over $400 to hang the buck on the wall, its probably too young.

Plus, preserving the trophy is the only way to get it scored to enter the SC Record books!

I have never understood the "must be mounted" rule. Personally, I really do not care to have any game I take mounted. I do not hunt to put heads, fish or birds on the wall. I hunt because I enjoy it and for the memories. Nothing against those that do, I do enjoy looking at them when done well.

with LB. I hunt for meat and the experience. I will not shoot anything under 8 points and mature. But I do not want his head hanging in my house. Sorry.

Same as some others, killed some real nice bucks, and theres no deer heads on my wall neither. A dead deers a dead deer, I don't see what you do with it mattering much!

Unfortunately not. Seems many on forums expect everyone to be like just like them and make derogatory statements when a idea or bylaw doesn't line up with how they would do it.

I'm with you guys. I hunt to spend time with my kids and family (brothers and dad) I let tons of young bucks walk by and I enjoy watching them.I will harvest a doe for the freezer. But to be told that I must mount what I shoot is down right silly. And I have plenty of $400 bills , so it isn't a money thing. Happy with my south Georgia property and I wish those SC boys good luck.

If you folks hunt solely for the meat or the time spent with kids and family, then why don't you leave the bucks for those who want them and only shoot does?

That's precisely what I do. I love watching the youngsters get a big one. I will only take enough for a few meals, give the rest away, and simply enjoy the outdoors. Besides, how many dang deer heads can one person have in their house. Maybe mount the first trophy, but after that......

I like a shooter buck rule, be it what it may. THEN... I could understand members being free to shoot smaller, but those bucks need to be mounted. Requiring all to be mounted is a bit much for me.
