Well, when you're starting at #101, it's quite easy to jump the likes of Air force and eastern illinois...

Some on here were insunuating that UF would finish in the 100s. Merely pointing out that NSD was not last month.

Nobody has said the sky is falling for FSU. They have a top 5 class as usual.

I'd be happier with 10 OL with solid game experience or a bnch full of 4-5* OL in the class. Anyone would prefer that but it's not going to happen. Given the current situation, I am happy that we are signing a lot of big bodies. It gives a greater probability that at least 2 will develop enough to contribute as freshmen. Getting Ivey would be big - he looks like he could start as a frosh.

UF's best OLineman now is Rod Johnson a 3*. Several of our recent recruits resemble him. Probably the reason Summers was the lone coached retained was the job he did with the OL last year .

    that's good to hear

espn has a great recent article on the GATORS picking up steam into the homestretch
    but the link isn't working

If you can find it, post it. I stay away from ESPN during NSD as so many people are complete idiots. I prefer to get my info from Rivals and Tomahawk Nation.

Anyone who thought they'd finish below 50 was a fool. However, making fun of the Gata for as long as possible while y'all sat at/near the century mark was.... well....quite fun and I'd expect the same from Gata fans if FSU plummeted that far in "crootin ranks. #Rivalry

Ivey WILL and SHOULD start wherever he ends up. The only "real" difference between 5* and 3* is development. USually 5* are just more physically ready, and as crazy as it seems some are even NFL ready these days.
    Mini boom.

Kinda funny, we have a Rod Johnson too. Started down the stretch for us after we had a big injury at Center. #77

At 275-280 Ivey is probably undersized as a OT. If he signs, I hope he he is not another DJ Humphreys ( a 5*) who could not gain good weight-- when he did gain some weight , he wasn't the same player.

uf's class is imploding. 4 of the big timers they thought they were getting now signed elsewhere. Holland, Cowart, Francois and the OL (can't remember his name flipped at last second to Auburn).

Great day to be a Nole and a Auburn Tiger as well.

Let's see where CeCe goes now. I'm picking Auburn. Muschamp is building a hell of a defense up there.

Holland was always Auburn even before Muschamp showed up. Francois has been an FSU commit for 3 years. The fact that UF almost turned him in 2 weeks was interesting.
Might have flipped anyways if Weinke didn't call him to the principal's office. Cowart flipped to Muschamp-- not Auburn. Foley's fault.
The OL Ivey does not select until 11:35. Not all bad for UF as we are getting more than expected. Staff did an amazing job with only 2 weeks to visit recruits.

uf paid Muschamp $6.2 million to not coach. Muschamp repaid them by singlehandedly destroying uf's recruiting class. Priceless, lol

Truer words were never spoken. I hate to see Muschamp reap the rewards for his destruction of UF. Foley is at fault.

    Ivey's a Gator.
Before the start of today, if we could have gotten Ivey and one of Cowart or Jefferson, it would have been a great comeback on the recruiting trail.

Love this-- wanted to say something but was afraid to jinks the process--but we improved 67 places in rankings today-- 80 if you count from Friday( 5 days).

Not bad for a staff that doesn't have Florida connections. Can't wait to see how they do with another year of time .
  • ZimmerNoleZimmerNole Posts: 9,243 Admiral
Ivey and CeCe were heavy leans to UF all year though, just sayin'

Props to the staff, but the two biggest fish were enamoured with UF before COach mac and co stepped foot on campus.

    Solid finish, top 25 class.
