Today I got out early...Saw a couple guys launching yaks and gave them a little redirection to what would be a better choice considering the wind forcast.
I threw a CAL and picked off 3 Trout and a Bluefish and a Ladyfish before my right wrist screamed " No Mas "
It was just sunny enough to look in some lee shores and while the Reds were still spooky...I managed to get a hook up...BUT

Check out the handle in front of his mouth...
Right after the hook set...a couple cranks and...****...Handle is broke off in my hand. Wind up "playing" him carefully by hand.
Changed out handles and kept at it..

A one spotter...No spot on this side.

And this guy ate my last dead mushy shrimp....
3 trout and 4 reds....a lady and Blue....
Back in at 12:30...

Yes...and no...
The "reel" is a Diawa "Team advantage" that went for about $160 ish... But it had a cheap **** cross body reel handle shaft that rusted out in about 14 months. Rather than give them $38 plus shipping/tax for another POS....I replaced it with the handle from a $10 Shakespere reel...A Rube Goldberg fix....but I just took the shaft and repinned the metal handle to the cheapie reel shaft...we'll see if that doesn't work out better than the plastic one.
