Hot Tuna!

Because I know you love reading my reports..... :grin
Any old timers and hard core rockers out there will know what " Hot Tuna" is...:wink

Duck season closed out on Sunday and Monday morning I took my guests to the airport...the rest of the week I just recovered from a crazy sprint to the finish with ducks and slept in on the cold mornings after too many 1 - 3 AM wake ups.I just didn't do much.
This was to be my first real trip since yesterday was week 10 since I broke my arm. I put my reels back to right hand cast lefty crank and was anxious to see how that would go. Got out late today...was kinda cool early so I launched at Main St ( ask me why:machinegun ) at 9:15 .
First spot had a good bunch of fish...but they were SUPER spooky. This was to be the case everywhere I went till at 1:00 PM....
I had seen some real nice trout up shallow and cast waaaaay past them...and crawled the live shrimp back...and finally hooked up.
No pictures since 1) I don't like taking bigger trout out of the water 2) I could not figure out how to shut off Pandora..and switch to camera :shrug
Within 15 minutes...I had this guy.

Put it on the Bluewater board so Tuna can get the size...:wink

Kept at it but the fish were well dispersed and spooky... finally at 2:45 I hooked up another fish.

Wind was up...clouds had come on...headed to the ramp.....

Yes Duckman we do "love" reading your reports. Your ability to catch fish with regularity is motivating. Your reports do help to get my old lazy **** out in the boat and try to catch some fish, but usually with poor results. Obviously, I do not have the knowledge, skill or perseverance that you have, but, your reports do give me a big shot of adrenalin in knowing that there are quality fish out there to catch.

I lost an entire duck hunting season, with duck boat and decoys at the ready, because of my lack of motivation (don't know if there are enough ducks on the river worth the effort). I sure wish there was another forum that you could report your daily duck hunting to, it would probably get me going again. However Duckman, I would like to say thanks for taking the time to write your motivating fishing reports, it's really appreciated.

    C/Jess, Thank you.
The "secret" is really no secret...countless hours and living/fishing the same water for decades.....and as Mike Iaconneli says " Never give up"....
The very next cast might be the game changer!

As far as duck hunting...There is only one really "for real" duck site...UW-F ( United Waterfowlers - Fla)....
I really thought the broken arm was going to spell doom for my season....#50...But instead...I had a pretty good one with two "once in a lifetime" birds.

WoW!! I've never received so much attention......its the source that less than desirable ......glad to give you so much fun Ducky!!!

Sorry Ducky, your "blueboard" is so dirty no one can read it, like your boat...Really it would only take an hr or so to wash some of the slime off. Probably could stop at one of these kids car was and they'd claen it for ya! Donate a couple dollars to their cause, you'd be their hero too. Do something good, might make you feel good.
