Sorry for the late post been busy with work lately, but wanted to share my offshore trip last week from Port Canaveral. We haven't had too much luck inshore recently so we decided to change things up. The weather report looked really good and my friend wanted to try to take his 17' boat offshore for the first time.
We decided to run straight east out of PC at first light. We went 10-12 miles out at the color change (around 80-120 ft.) and started fishing. We both have offshore experience but neither of us have fished offshore PC. It took some trial and error but at the end of the day we caught around a dozen kings, a few ARS and a nice little mahi to top it off. It was definitely a successful day for it being our first time out there.
