a debate needs to be had about increased cases of police in the wrong (shootings, rapes, stealing, etc) it is up and on the rise and there needs to be a debate that's all.
Just curious, how did you arrive at that? Are there really increased cases of police in the wrong (shootings, rapes, stealing, etc)? Can you point to any credible evidence, studies, anything that would substantiate that?
I don't think there are increased cases of crimes on the part of LE.
Same as with your body cam post I wasn't trying to make the cop a bad person I originally just wanted clarification on the use of deadly force in that situation.
In reference to the body cam thread, I see a need for body cams not to protect LE, but to protect everyone. I think it's in everyone's best interest for LE to be equipped with, and required to use, body cams.
A good example is where LE murdered, in cold blood, possibly premeditated, the homeless person camping on the side of a mountain or hill or whatever. Go back and read my comments on that thread.
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen."
Dude. Seriously? Sure you don't want to walk this one back?
They **** sure do have the LEGAL right to take your life; if not just WTH is a "justified shoot".
They confiscate property, cash, impound cars LEGALLY on a regular basis.
What is an arrest? When they LEGALLY deprive you of your liberty.
Come on man, you're smarter than that. I thought.
Do Judges have the Legal right to take a life? Do they have the right to confiscate property, cash, impound cars? Are all Judges perfect?
What about Doctors or Teachers or Lawyers? They don't count?
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen."

## Im not saying increased on the part of law enforcement. I'm saying an increased number of crimes being committed by people that are police officers. And maybe that's just cases that are made public cause I'm sure there's a fair share that are swept away :politically speaking of course. Haha I could go and Google facts all day that would point to my assumption being correct it would just end up into a derailment as it has already.

## this is very true and I couldn't agree more I.e New Mexico shooting

## never read this post/thred so I had no knowledge of it. But completely agree with your statement.
No hard feelings here, we're just having a discussion.

Judges within the law and where states allow yes
Yes if your found guilty
No they aren't which is also scary. Look up PA JUDGES FOR MONEY scandal involving kids private prisons and judges getting huge pay offs
Doctors do $&@? Up £€%+
Teachers yes we all know
Lawyers well hmmm enough said imo that's just dragging politics into this
Count in what sense?? Being held to a higher standard? Of course

OK, so it sounds like we're in 100% agreement on everything then?
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen."

Judges operate within the same system as LEOs so I would say yes, they do, and no, they're not all perfect. Which is why they also should be held to a HIGHER STANDARD OF CONDUCT than your average Joe Blow.
The doctors, teachers and lawyers crap makes no sense, what are you trying to say? Yes they"count" I guess, but in those professions, one is not granted extraordinary control over the citizenry, as in the LEGAL RIGHT to take a citizen's life, liberty or property. Which cops , and I guess judges to an extent, have.
It seems.......that some here like to place a "guilty until proven innocent" on ALL police anytime they are accused of anything that against the law.
Do some police break the laws or the land?....why sure some do......just like people who have in every other profession.
Should some police be removed from their job because they are just not fitted for it?.......absolutely......the same way that people in every other profession should.
I kinda feel bad for kids today that put that badge on every day.....he yells "stop"....and they run......he asks for "the drivers license"...and he gets spit on.......he asks "do you have something dangerous in your pockets"....and they say no....he asks "please get your hands out of your pockets"....and they pull out a piece and kill him......very sad.....
And it is just as "sad" if the officer in question actually did what he is being accused of......
Of course these days of fancy cameras in cell phones and other covert recording devices a policeman NOW must really go by the book when he stops someone for anything. Yep!.....long gone are the days when a traffic stop shows that the person behind the wheel might possibly have been drinking.....not drunk mind you...but probably just enough to get caught in the switches.......no more does the cop have the ability to have him lock the car...take him back to the station and call his wife to come pick him up.......
......or a guy has a dispute with neighbor and the have a "girl fight" where there's hair pulling, slapping and biting....today they both go to jail....where years ago....after a "talking to" both "girls" shook hands...got pizzy eyed and make up.
But the one that has always tickled my **** feathers is the hobo drunken bum....who has been on the blotter about a hundred times from chicken stealing to assault on octogenarians.....screams at the top of his lungs......."you work for me....I pay your salary".........or........"you're here to protect me"....
....years ago...said "bum" would get told the truth....."I'm not here to protect you sport......I'm here to arrest the other bum who beats you over the head with an empty wine bottle tonight"....
....and to anyone who takes offense to that..... then you must have a screw or two loose, because it's impossible by sheer numbers to protect people...unless by chance the leo just happens to be there when something happens.
.....Police aren't even liable to run into burning buildings and such to save people...but there's a whole bunch who do it on a daily basis to do things like save the lives of children that their parents left behind......but of course.....why mention anything like that....right?
What I find most sad here is that there are those who will not give the same "benefit of doubt" to the alleged crime committed by the accused officer..........that they would if it were a drunken bum wino who was accused!
I will say that SHOULD he be found "guilty as charged" ...that he should receive the maximum sentence allowable by law.........just like anyone else!
LEO's do not have the legal right to deprive citizens of their life, liberty or property. Neither do Doctors, judges, lawyers or teachers, to name a few, but they all do, illegally and against the oaths they've all taken.
TTT, that is not true. They can hemm you up and take you in for anything they want to make up. Guess what, you will get fingerprinted and have your picture taken, which will then be posted on the internet for all to see forever ... Unless you spend at minimum $1k to get it removed from the county's site, and many others that repost that picture.
Sure, they may have to let you go, because they were in the wrong, but, now your fingerprints are in the system and your picture is still posted online for eternity. All because that cop had a case of the red **** with you.

What is a "trouty" and to whom are you referring to?
"Lord, hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen."
The same holds true for Doctors, judges, lawyers, teachers and even fishing forum moderators, they all make mistakes. All people that we put our trust in. To condem each as a whole would be a mistake, wouldn't you agree
All things being equal, I would not trust a fishing forum moderator if I had him speared on the end of a 10' pole spear!
And I am not kidding. Its an internet site dude, who the hell needs validation more than someone looking to be a forum moderator?

Officer Maiorino seems to have strayed from the officer **** use of force continuum.
The standard procedure is not to **** the woman at gunpoint, but to give them a choice.
Would they like to be framed for narcotics possession and serve a prison sentence as a convicted felon and have their children taken away from them by the Department of Children and Families, or are they down for a little community service with Officer Friendly?
This is the established protocol that has worked for numerous officer rapists.
Why the hate towards Law Enforcement Officers? Have you gotten a few too many tickets recently? Usually when people express that degree of hatred towards LEO's, there's an underlying personal experience, event or events that caused the negative sentiments
If my thread title had stated it was a Lawyer, Teacher, Engineer or any other profession would you have posted and attempted to opine that I have some sort of criminal history?

You know very well that I didn't opine that you had a criminal record. You're welcome to continue to deflect and ignore the questions and comments I've made and focus on me if you like.
Based on the comments you've made, the comments and questions you've ignored and the comments you've edited, I'm guessing you may be a little closer to this story than you'd care to admit.
I could be wrong.

Oh, I did watch the local video of said officer denying the actuation and the police union defending him to no avail prior to DNA evidence introduced.
Edit I did remove the soldier reference and it was due to true soldiers respect, I was just a govt rep.
I would have to say that if it was any other profession, it would not be news and you would not have posted it anyway.
True, none of those professions blatantly abuse the law and hide behind it while dispensing their form of justice, no more.
You know he's not a leo, right? He's a land barren, cattle man, kind of like Ben Cartwright.
You my friend are pizzing in the wind, and your feet are getting wet.

Wow. Really getting into your true colors with that comment.
