    Was wondering the same thing...
I've used thawed shrimp many times for a variety of different fish - as long as it's "fresh" frozen shrimp. I have no idea what frozen crab would be like after thawing.
If they're selling it for us to cook, though, it can't be too bad. Right? Right?? ;)

They probably cook them before freezing them and I think that would greatly limit the effectiveness.

Unless they crabs are red/orange in color they haven't been cooked yet. No different than buying from local bait shop.

fantastic chunked and soaked for redfish my best was using dead frozen crabs in the the Mosquito Lagoon on a blustery nasty day. My buddy and I caught over 20....only kept two of course. got back to the haulover ramp and another fisherman was relating what a crappy day and we told him what we caught. He pretty much told us we were full of ****. then we filleted our fish and he started with the how and where.
