Windy day in PV!

Had Monday off and despite the windy forecast I went out early to try to beat the blow, or so I thought. Swung by PV Outdoors to grab some bugs then pulled away from the dock at 730 and headed south. Hit a few creeks while the tide was bottomed out and somehow managed six or eight nice reds and a small black. By 9 the wind had picked up to at least 15-20 and couldn't decide what direction to blow from. I headed back up the ditch to try around Pine Island with little luck so I called it a day around noon just as the wind was hitting 25. Half the reds were in the 24-26", the rest were rats.

Everything came on Carolina rigs with live shrimp/muds. Water temp was a bone chilling 56.5 degrees.

Sure beats what I did yesterday. Reds seem to like some wind.

You did better than i did.... Sitting on my couch reading forums and watching guys fish on youtube. I didnt feel like getting beat to death out there. If not by the wind, by the cold.

Very nice. Good that you got out to feed that addiction! It was windy everywhere. Monday I was in Bronson FL chasing quail (windy there too) then off to Cedar Key hoping to fish Tuesday but it was too windy there too. Only three boats went out and they were all clammers.

Sure why not.. :dance my "Charter scedual" is open next Tuesday... Caught 30/40 trout all on artificial in four hours between two fishermen.
