If you have a boat deep docks using pin fish and shrimp for grouper, redfish, snook and sheephead. Fish move slow during the cold days so shrimp is my go to but you have to fight through the pin fish and other free riders. Manipulate google earth before you go to find the deeper water.

thanks that was the biggest problem we had last year (just learning the salt water thing) was having to rebait every 2 minutes because of the pin fish stealing the shrimp. never considered using them for bait.
