double stuf

Three peanut dolphin between 250-350'. Popped this sail in 210'. Didn't get a jump until about 15 feet from the boat. The sail (and the angler) were totally spent by the time we got him boatside due to a big clump of weeds on the line. A few minutes of revival and he was ready to swim away.

Water looked pretty good outside of the Cones but we just couldn't find any quality fish out there. We went to 700'.

Ran back inside to 105' to try for a king or two. Set the first line on a planer and before we could get anything else in the water pandemonium struck. 45-pound wahoo on a spinner. A couple of REALLY impressive runs.

Decided we'd had enough fun for one day and headed for the barn.

Did you see the whale in 110 ft that was breaching? Looked like the Prudential commercial.


Good day out there, wind picked up around 3 so headed in. Saw some small trips, but other than that, kinda cold, not much going on.

No other pics on the wahoo. Sorry. There were just two of us on board and once he hit the box we were both done. Halfway back to port we realized we should have snapped a pic while he was still lit up.

Did not see the whale but there were a lot of porpoise out there. The 'hoo came from outside of 8A.
