I made a trip to the south fork of the Sebastian River on a windy day with a cold front moving in. The front slowed thing down but I still had a great day on the water.
Cool video. I love going up there, but I usually come from Dale Wimbrow. Ive had some days like that with no fish but have has some excellent ones too.
I've launched there before several times - mostly just as a nice paddle downstream, but a couple times fishing.
There are some decent bass you just paddled right past, amigo, on your way downstream. Toss a small, light spinning rod in the yak with a topwater and pop around from the launch all the way down to where it opens up. Plenty of bass to be had.
Two notes of caution:
1. There are some behemoth alligators there. Even if you don't see them trust me, they're there. Be careful
2. There are lots and lots and lots of paddlers. If you're pausing to fish it won't be long before a group will come floating by. Makes fishing a little tough until you get down to where the river opens up.
