1/4 tarpon

Well late post but went out of pompano with 9 hog leg mullet in the search of a tarpon found them pretty quick and after a couple cut offs and jump offs. I managed to come tight on a 50 to 60 lb fish that fought hard to get away. But after a long and intense fight I got my picture and Released the fish with good energy. After resetting the lines we had a few missed hits and with the last bait hooked a monster over 150 but wasn't prepared and after a minute long run my leader popped

Nice fish. Did you catch these from the beach or by the inlet?

I was hooked and fought on the kayak but brought it on the beach for pictures and better revival

What tide do you like better? Thanks for answering all the questions

I don't mind the questions the best conditions it seems would be the hour before high tide and the first hour of the outgoing so a decent window to get hooked up but they usually drag you out the inlet so when it's rough like this week I'll just try my best to keep them in the inlet
