Figured my luck was still running I shot out of CR early Sunday morning with a good friend to troll up some more gags. It was cool in the early am and still had some wind coming through which made the ride a little bumpy but as the day progressed the seas flattened. I hit one of my spots in 25' and deployed the xrap and it took a few figure eight through it to produce a 34 in gag. Loaded him in the boat and tossed the plug back out and tried it again. I made numerous without anything and just as I pulled out a drink from the cooler the rod went off and I tossed the drink. My buddy aboard grabbed the rod but the TLD 25 was more advanced then he was used to so it made this fight just that much more interesting for me. We landed a 31 incher this time. I decided not to pressure this spot and move to another since the seas laid down. We go out to 38' of water with good live bottom and deployed the plug again, with in minutes we hooked up on a 26 incher. Tossed it out and ten minutes of trolling the area we lock on a decent gag, well it felt like it but the fish and my expensive plug bought bottom side real estate. After a few choice words I tied another xrap on and trolled around again and that produced our limit. little smaller but happy to have aboard at 24 inches. The water temp again like last weekend stayed in the mid 60's with a few cool spots at 61, I marked that for reconnaissance.:blowkiss
To add to the excitement I was circled a few times by a number robber. This big *** boat came out of nowhere as soon as I was hooked up. At those depts with good electronics and a plug trolling behind you can find fish or lose a few plugs by you will find fish. Got to love it. I earned my numbers by burning lots of fuel and a few cases of beer.

Seas were flat by the Afternoon.
We got 3 on the bottom in 30'
Looks like we better try some trolling.
Plugs have been key for me, anchoring up has not produced. Great ending of tthere he season. Lots of little guys out there smashing the plugs also.
Its been good to me, always produces large gags. No need to kill it.
Nice gags. It's been a great Oct/Nov for the 30 plus inchers.
