What do you guys use to catch those juvie poons in freshwater? Would a toad work? I have some shrimp flies and roads and what nots but would that work in freshwater? So far they don't seem interested in my flies. Any help would be great

I have had good luck with a small Shrimp fly, mostly white, with a little pink. The fresh water Poons I have caught have all been in 10 foot deep water so a weighted small fly, #1 or #2 hook. Let sink, strip long and slow, not jerky. Tarpon less is more. Good luck.

Thanks. I'm guessing they were in canals?

Any chance you have a pic of that fly?

This is close, ad a little pink at hook bend, and some weight at the eye.
