June 13, 2012 -- Miami Central running back Dalvin Cook commits to Clemson.

June 15, 2012 -- West Palm Beach (Fla.) Cardinal Newman receiver Travis Rudolph commits to Miami

March 16, 2013 -- Travis Rudolph decommits from Miami.

April 6, 2013 -- Dalvin Cook decommits from Clemson and commits to Florida.

August 12, 2013 -- Homestead (Fla.) receiver Ermon Lane commits to Florida.

December 31, 2013 -- Dalvin Cook flips his commitment to to Florida State.

January 2, 2014 -- Travis Rudolph commits to Florida State.

January 10, 2014 -- Ermon Lane decommits from Florida.

February 5, 2014 -- Ermon Lane commits to Florida State.

Three five-star recruits from South Florida who were committed to Florida State's rivals over the last 20 months but who ended up in Tallahassee.

On Thursday night, against the No.1 defense in the country of the Louisville Cardinals, FSU needed each to come up big. And they did.

Down 24-7, and having not run through a route earlier in the game on a play that ended up an interception, Travis Rudolph got loose deep and Jameis Winston found him for a 68-yard touchdown to pull FSU within 24-14.

Next, it was Dalvin Cook's turn, as he turned on the jets after some nifty moves for a 40-yard touchdown run to make the score 24-21.

Next it was Lane's turn, as Jameis Winston somehow rifled a third down pass into traffic that ended up in the arms of Lane, who scampered 47 yards on third and long, as FSU took the lead 28-24.

After a Louisville touchdown, Cook put Florida State back ahead for good, with a 38-yard touchdown run, thanks in part to a block thrown by? Freshman receiver Ermon lane.

Cook finished 110 yards on 9 carries, including two touchdowns. He did not have a carry for negative yards, and added 40 yards on 4 catches.

Rudolph caught two for 76 yards, and Lane had two for 58.

FSU put up 580 yards before the final kneeldowns. 49 percent of those were from five-star recruits who were formerly committed to FSU's rivals.

"It's always critical how your young players develop as the season goes on," Jimbo Fisher told ESPN's Sam Ponder.

Very strong recruiting class... Only difference is the corch in my opinion. On the field, like Jameis, Jimbo does a fantastic job. Off the field, he's a class act. The only negative I could say about him is maybe he goes just a bit far in protecting his players but that's just an opinionated observation. UF had some really good talent in 09-11 and since our 'cruits just haven't been there. We all know why. Hopefully our cycle is about to end. Kudos on Lane and Cook. They are prime examples of how kids should be developed.

UF's recruits will start hopping aboard as soon as the coaching issue is figured out. I think there are a lot of kids out there just waitng to see what happens.

^^^^This. Unfortunately for us, we will be playing catch up to the boys in Tally for a couple years. Jimbo has put together some beasts in the last couple of classes and will continue to do so. It sucks that Nationally his program is shadowed by a lot of negativity. He turkey hunts the plantation beside ours. He really is a good guy. But like they say, just keep winning. Hopefully that and getting between a few young men's ears and showing them how to conduct themselves will put the last little unpleasant time behind him. He deserves to be able to enjoy his victories without every other question being about some dumb thing one of his players did. He's put in his time and hopefully will be able to "fully" enjoy the accolades of his work. I'm a Gator all day long but I like to see UF beat a great Noles team as I'm sure most of you Noles would prefer to beat the Gators coming in at 11-0. Sure the Noles are going to shelac UF this year. Doesn't mean as much as beating a team that is as tLented and well coached as you are. So you Noles just keep on winning. Hopefully we will get it turned around and get this rivalry back to what it was way back when both teams shined of greatness.
