The Ebola Czar?

Rep. Trey Gowdy questions the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response, Dr. Nicole Lurie about ebola outbreak at house oversight hearing. With her vast experience in medical and emergency prepardness, Rep. Gowdy wonders why in the world President Obama would choose someone with zero experience in these areas to oversee the prevention of the spread of ebola.

I love this guy. He is a former tenacious prosecuting attorney from the great state of South Carolina and now our congressional honey badger par excellence.

Rep. Trey Gowdy is an idiot using his few minutes at a microphone to score idiotic points. Ebola Czar Ron Klain’s expertise is in government navigating the federal bureaucracy. If Obama wanted someone to conduct medical research on a virus, hiring an expert in infectious disease would have been obvious, but the goal of this policy coordinator is to coordinate policy.

Klain is a Harvard-trained lawyer, a former Supreme Court clerk, a former congressional aide, a former Justice Department official, and a former chief of staff to two vice presidents. Klain is a manager who knows how Washington works – which is why he got this job.

    Phil,

do you REALLY believe that?? Seriously ?? :rotflmao

This is yet another example of the Chosen One surrounding himself with incompetent political hacks...

We have discussed this before and you agreed.

Gowdy is wearing his thespian hat for the TV viewers. Very convincing if you never seen a politician before.

    Ironic, ain't it?

US Congressman Trey Gowdy (R) representing the great state of South Carolina is exactly what we all profess to want in office - young, dynamic, intelligent, quick witted, outspoken and unafraid to be labeled 'politically incorrect'...not a professional politician, and new to Washington...(an idiot he is not). :grin

Yet some will support/defend the life-long bureaucrat or professional politician every single time. (Scott vs Crist comes to mind)...based on nothing more selective than which letter of the alphabet follows their name.

Portion of a SNL skit in which Obama introduces the new Ebola czar...funny stuff.
    Excerpt:
"There are a few safety tips that people should be aware of heading toward election day. For example, the Ebola virus actually flourishes in warmer climates. So if you live in a southern state, such as Louisiana, Arkansas, or Kentucky, you actually may want to avoid any large public spaces like, say, a polling booth. One exception, however, is that we believe Latinos in red states may actually have an immunity to Ebola.”

Ron Klain is a lifelong bureaucrat, a political operative, former chief of staff to Gore and Biden, heavily involved in political campaigning - and most interestingly - a former lobbyist for Fannie Mae.

btw, did you know that South Carolina has one of only two black senators in Washington?...and a female governor who is the youngest sitting governor in the US and one of only two governors of East Indian heritage? An accomplished woman, the governor, deserving of respect, even from her opponent(s). :cool

Obama selected Klain b/c he's slick and he knows how to push things just past legal and not get caught. Klain is working behind the scene to help Obama make mandatory quarantine a real and legal thing. Klain doesn't care about stopping Ebola, his job is to legally prepare for mandatory quarantines of all areas effected by Ebola. We are about to see a "fundamentally changed" USA. Some of you think Obama is just incompetent but he has plan and he's executing it right in front of our eyes.
FEMA camps are soon to be a reality.

But the Senator from S.C. is an Uncle Tom, the Governor a ****, and Tim Gowdy an idiot according to the liberals. Again the display their "tolerance" of any who disagree with them.

We'll see how well it goes once the dems lose the Senate and, yes, I know Gowdy isn't a Senator. All is focused on the mid term elections right now but Gowdy will be heard from again in the next Congressional term.
