PE 10-30-14 MAHI

tough day today trying to find them. no real thick weed lines out there, but trolled some and caught a decent mahi in about 800 ft just south of the port. My son also caught a little peanut that we had to throw back, and we didn't see any schools with him. Caught the dolphin on the same lure from last week (purple / silver c&h lure). ended the day with our remaining pilchards by bending rods at the whistle buoy.

also had fun with some real dolphin surfin our wakes... beautiful creatures!

I only troll 3 lines and usually do that until i find a school. Then I use pitch bait

no, just plain lures. haven't really tried trolling ballyhoo or squid yet.
