Ground wire on hydraulic steering cylinder

I just replaced my hydraulic steering cylinder and a new requirement, especially for use in saltwater, is the installation of a ground or bonding wire from the motor frame to the pivot shaft and the the hydraulic cylinder shaft. Seastar says that stray currents can otherwise pit and damage the cylinder shaft. It came in the cylinder kit. I'm sure you could make one or they may sell it separately.

I have seen a bunch of pitted/flaking steering ram shafts. Always thought it was a salt caused corrosion issue. Never thought that it could be electrolysis.

The shaft itself is nearly impossible to get by itself without sending the unit to an authorized service center... But I found a way.
