Internet service providers

Have comcast, they've pizzed me off for the last time. Going back to Directv.

The problem is Dtv doesn't offer internet in my area. Bright house can't either because if comcast. Fios is out too. My AT&T cell service inside the house is terrible for internet.

They all suck, I've had Brighthouse, Verison, AT&T and Comcast and they all have their faults. Just take one and suck it up!

I've had Uverse and comcast and to be truthful, all of their customer services suck. Uverse lied to me about 3 years ago, said I had a locked in agreement for 2 years, but when I later looked at the contract online it was only 12 months. I have Comcast (the GF is paying, I refused to) and their tv lineup is good, but their system and delayed response in their clicker to the TV sucks balls. I hate it. Glad I am not paying for it because I will never endorse that POS. Their customer services is the worst on the planet.

I have used a DSL, from Century link, not the fastest, but still OK. Price is too high, but they all are(sooner or Later). I use there modem, hard to figure out which will work with their system, or I'm just lazy. If I bought my own modem, I could save about $9 a month. I think my price is with home phone, unlimited calling etc(must have for security system) and fastest internet is about $79 a month.

Verizon Fios told me on Saturday that my replacement router would be delivered Monday. Talked to them yesterday and they said it was on the UPS truck for delivery. I'm still waiting Wednesday morning for the Tuesday delivery. The customer service sucks, but at least they have a beautiful TV picture and the Internet is normally very fast and stable.

My issue with comcast is customer service. They shut me off and said I didn't pay my bill. I had conformation number and bank statement showing it being taken from my account. Spent 2 1/2 hours in the phone. Shuffled between 6 different people and departments. With each person telling me something different, just to hear it could take 15 days to resolve the issue. F U. calling Dtv today. That's what I get for trying to save $50 a month. Lesson learned. Never had a customer service issue with Dtv in 12 years.

    I'll look into Uverse.

Customer service costs money and the industry giants have a monopoly, with little incentive to provide any but the customer service that is lowest possible price.

This is the answer. There is no fix.
They all have terrible customer service.

After lengthy research for my specific needs decided on Verizon Jetpack for its mobility & coverage.

After a rocky start & several unmet promises Verizon finally upgraded their system. Still expensive for what it is, but at least works reliably.

Not recommended for primary service, especially where there's cheap high speed DSL from phone or cable TV providers, but good for mobile users.

Will be looking at NetZero mobile as 2 year contract ends.
