Smoked Blluegill, smack/dip receipts ?!

The fish just went onto the smoker! So I have 2/3 hours to get an easy good receipt?
Just thought I'd try something new! Let's hear what you got?

Scrape the insides of the smoker, mix with just enough hot water to make a thick liquid, done.

Probably will need the whole grill scraped, as I'm smokin approx150lbs of Bluegill. Yes, we limited out and each fish averaged 5 to 6 pounds!

Are you talking about freshwater bluegills ? Or are you calling some other type of fish bluegill ?? Excuse my ignorance , but I would like to see a pic of a 6lb bluegill

I also would like to see these 5lb Bluegill, and some 5lb Crappie too.

Go down to the store and pick up some Coburn Farms French Onion dip. Smoke fish as you would with your spices. Add a good amount of fish to dip.



What I will use with our Bluefish, Spanish and Jacks.

I, like others, not only doubt limits of 5 lb bluegils, but why smoke them? You smoke oily fish, not nice clean white fillets.

Bread `em, deep fry in lard, sprinkle with salt and peppa, nothing else, `cept a **** of hot sauce....

Ice fishing season will be here soon, that's when I can catch buckets of big fat perch and do the same to them.

Thanks for clearing this up. Was trying to figure out what the OP was talking about. Now where can I get a purchase "odor" for bearded clams?
