NIRL 28/29 Family Visit

Wife's Parents are in town visiting so that means me and my Father-in-law (Don) are on the water (I get along great with my in-laws). Last time Don was visiting was May of a few years ago and we did not do great out fishing on the NIRL. Much better this time around....

Sep 28th and 29th on the NIRL - near 405 Bridge - Top Water (Skitter and Sebile Slim Sticks) and Cut Mullet are the baits. Doing much better this go-round. Don has caught 18 Red's to this point and we will be out again today, leaving in a few minutes.

Some real bronze drum there, one neat thing about the water being darker this time of year, it produces some gorgeous fish.
Been having a tough time getting the drum to eat artificals lately, but with the buffet of mullet around, cant say it surprises me.
Nice work out there. We had a decent morning around those parts, hope yours went well also.

Yes, the colors are so vivid and crisp. Deep Bronze/Copper/Orange.
