Left dock at daylight. Caught first fish at 7:50 at marker 34. Next fish 8:40 at marker 32. I fished marker 30 and 28. Real spotty and surprised me as I caught enuf fish at marker 30 earlier this month to have four fish fries. Water time then in mid 80s and now 77 so I expected a hot bite. 6 whiting, 3 sugar trout, 1 croaker and 2 pink mouths. Left around noon as thunder and dark clouds coming in from west. The fish along with 5 lbs of fried taters and onions I shouldn't go hungry tonight!!!
On the way out this AM at marker 41 there was a 20 foot+/- 8 inch diameter piling floating. About 1/4 or 1/3 above water. Pulled it out of channel but it will probably hang around and come and go as the tide moves. Would make a mess of a fiberglass hull or lower unit.
