Well, Early duck season closed at sunset Sunday so today I was back at the fish. Really, the weather which has been hard on the fisherman was the same for my duck hunting. We did OK on them...not great on them because of the flooding due to the rain.
A few days we were set to hunt.... we just fished instead.
So, today there was no option and I got out a little later than I normally would...but it did not matter. I only had one hit on plastic early that came undone. In the first hour that was it and I was worried it would be slow...but it is amazing how things can turn around. I netted some bait (plentiful everywhere) and... In less than 20 minutes I had a slam! Trout was small and so was the snook

but the Red was a mid slotter

8:30 and it's #102 in the books.
Anyway ....I finished at noon with 8 Reds..3 snook.. one trout and several jacks and several missed/lost fish.

The upshot is this. If you plan to fish Sebastian soon...stay out of the crappy St Sebastian water and along the west shore...It's trashed. Fish windy points with current...the fish are there. If you are going to fish the inlet...plan to fish a couple hours into the incoming to get decent water in the inlet.
