How is are 11 and 15 year olds not only up at the given time of day, but allowed into the establishment.

The party in the new club continued into the wee hours Sunday morning. Strawberry daiquiris flowed. Music from DJ Bay Bay pulsed. Teens were chilling and dancing.

Then came the gunfire.

Witnesses said they heard dozens of rounds, maybe 100, rip through a storefront Miami nightclub called The Spot, wedged between a furniture store and a smoke shop.

When the gunfire stopped, 15 young people were wounded, bloodied and dazed, the youngest of them 11 years old, the oldest 25.

The parental attitude that encourages this sort of thing was best expressed by a "Mom" living in a hotel room with 11 of her 15 children screaming at the TV camera that "Somebody better be responsible for these kids" (meaning anybody but her and one of the many "fathers").

I have a hard time wrapping my head around an 11 year old in a "club"....Parents should be taken into the middle of the street and shot thru the head and left there....

Kids might have been working, I know they are young but in poor neighborhoods some young kids learn to hustle and make money. They might have been busing tables to dealing drugs. Unfortunately, some kids are on their own at an early age. I grew up on the fringes of the hood, Ive seen young kids who hustle for a buck.

Year ago I use to buy weed in the hoods of Atlanta (on par with Miami). You would always see kids running around well after midnight. You would also see babies in diapers walking around sucking on dirty bottles. The time or day of the week meant nothing
