Aside from the Bull this morning we caught 21 Red Fish (most my boat has ever caught in a day much less 2 hours). 2 of 21 were over slot and #21 for the morning was the Big Bull. To ensure the fish would survive I got in the water with it when my wife got it in and Cradled it up to the deck, then cradled to her lap (she could not have lifted it anyway) for a quick picture. We both got back in the water and worked for a good five minutes before I let it go and it swam off.
I am no expert but I do know that these Extra Large fish must be handled with extreme care. Their Guts/bellies MUST be supported if lifted from the water. They are very powerful fish so BE careful not to drop them if you hold them in a boat, a short fall will kill them. Mostly just use some sense and do the best you can to return them alive...they are a THRILL.
