Lowrance Down Scan Tranducer

Hey guys I have a new Elite 7 that has the down scan feature. I would love to epoxy the trans inside the bilge. Anyone have any experience with this? The boat is a 92 aquasport 175. I can transom mount is but would rather have it hidden.

Good enough. Owner manual said may diminish the signal. But not that it will not work.

I tried it on my simrad which is basically the same unit and it read horrible in deep water. I didn't want that huge thing on the back either but ended up having to. But to each his own!!

ANything over 80' and these things lose a lot of clarity.
I personally use one and love it for indside the bay.
I can literally idle and find new bottom I have even found a wreck using my structurescan!

The transducer must be on the outside of the boat for downscan.
I do havce my regular transducer glued down to the inside of my bilge area.
