Compact camera - follow up -re post regarding choices

Asked recently about a compact camera for travel that can be placed in a pant pocket
but that shoots RAW

I was recommended the Cannon S120 (I think is a great choice and suggestion for what I want) but decided to wait and see if an S130 was announced with more than 14 mp and a larger sensor. Well...............now the
Powershot G7x is about to be released. Seems expensive for what I want to spend but it also seems to
be what I want and a very impressive compact.

Has anyone looked at specs etc. Any opinions or too early to tell? I guess it is still in the pre order stage.

No S130 was announced.

If it were me, I would buy the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 III. It is the same money as the G7x and has an eye level viewer.

I want one of these for a VERY SPECIFIC reason, but the price is stupid and that will keep me from buying it.
