I'm surprised more of you guys aren't buying Boatmasters or Rolls Axles.

I had a Boatmaster under my first Egret for years. Great trailer and great company to deal with.

BUT BUT BUT BUT IT'S NOT AN AMERATRAIL!

I have their less expensive Competitor model; it was under the boat when I bought it in 2006 (I'm on axle #2). It's been the best adjustable trailer I've owned and would absolutely look to their custom-fitted models if I need to replace it.

Either you are mechanically inclined ore your not. The fact you had to ask told me that you can not do it. Its ok, not every one has this ability. Some people just have to pay.

I replaced my trailer in 2002 with a load master. In the last two years I changed the axle, fenders, bunks and went with pole lights. The hubs are replaced every other year automatically along with the tires. Happy with what I have
    Egret 189
    Maverick 17T sold

Just for kicks, I sent in the "request for quote " from Myco Trailers.
    Egret 18'9".
They quoted dual torsion axle w/ brakes 4,935 lbs carry capacity.
    $9,047 out the door. :hairraiser
The rest of us are around $4,000 w/ all the add ons.
So, extra axel, hubs ,rims,tires,brakes---say $1000 to be generous.
    But ****. Twice as much.
They are using Good Year Marathons 215/75R14 for tires.
Everyone should feel a little heavier in the wallet after making their trailer purchase.

I went to their site, they do some crazy trailers. Maybe you can send Piper there, he has a crappy EZLoader trailer.
