Rats scrambling to leave the ship?

    What does that even mean?

Why does it appear you are elated by a 1% drop in the stock market?

Is there a precedence in this decline?

Boys the FED has booste the economy by injecting 85 billion a months sine the stimulas was envoked. Now, it has to stop soon or inflation will get ahold of us worse than it has now. When the stimulus stops, ya best have a place to move your stocks cause the sheet is going to hit the fan like never before.

This is just market correction and the effects of the financial turmoil in Argentina. This was forecasted to occur in the second half of the year by many analysts.

We'll be able to attenuate QE losses by starting a new cold war and arms race with Russia :)

A title of "Dow Plunges 317 Points, Wipes Out 2014 Gains" would have been sufficient. His editorial lead-in implies his elation, as if....

In Phil's defense, with BO you have to rely on the thread title because everything else is cut and paste.

It's YOUR thread and YOUR thread title. Were you braying with the lead-in of "Rats scrambling to leave the ship"?

    How about this headline?
S & P 500 drops 2% in minor correction, still up 6% for the year.

BTW Baits, what does your money manger son have to say about yesterday's action?

    No idea.

I don't ask and we rarely talk about such things.

    .

So, basically, the smart guy in the family realizes that small adjustments like yesterday's are meaningless in the long run, while the less informed guy asks if "the rats are scrambling to leave the ship".

Seems like your post had less to do with actual economic and financial conditions, and more reflective of your political spin on the news.
