Trout of a Lifetime plus Giant Redfish!
Fishing inshore continues to be great. We've been throwing topwater early in the morning and late in the evening in Ft.Pierce and the trout bite is great. One night, me and Luke were drifting a very windy flat but decided to stick it out with topwaters and got many big strikes but mostly misses. Just after the sun went down, Luke hooked up and by the sound of the drag, I assumed another bluefish. Get the flashlight out and boy was I wrong. After stumbling to get the net, the trout is in the boat. taped 32 inches and easy 10+ pounds. We came right back the next morning and on my 4th or 5th cast with topwater I got myself a 30" trout! We moved around after sunrise and I ended up just a redfish short of a grand slam (of course I got a tarpon though). I've also been making frequent trips up north to fish the bull reds with topwater so I threw those pics in as well even though they don't relate to this region.
