The long haired skater kid that a lot of you have met, who also was part of this community as Jr Polar( unitll some butt monkey banned him thinking it was me) . We will be seeing him off to Ft Benning as he joining the U.S. Army to serve our nation. :USA
Ive fought back some tears, yesterday was a very rough time speaking to his recruiter. I will not lie, I am scared for him. and told him this. This was his reply to me which hit my like a ton of bricks that my little pal, is now my grown man.

He will do just fine. A few of my buddies went that route after high school, and are all doing very well for themselves. One of them has even traveled across the world as a Marine and said he cant imagine doing anything else with his life. Tell him that us at the FS Forum thank him for his service and wish him nothing but the best.

Tell him not to shave his head before going to basic, or to have long hair. He will be the first one the Drill Sargent's jump on as soon as he gets off the bus. I was that guy with long hair, and let me tell ya some of those Drill Sargent's are very creative.

Tell him thanks for volunteering, if he has any questions just shoot me a message. I have been out for quite some time, but was a federal employee working along side a lot of soldiers of all the branches.
