Sort of related to the OP. Have any of y'all noticed how many people push their grocery carts on the left side of the aisles in the supermarket? They drive to the store in the right hand lane, and when they get inside the store they 'drive' in the left hand lane. What's up with that?

And speaking of parking lots and people blocking the lanes, one of those 20 packs of Black Cat firecrackers lit and thrown in front of your vehicle will get them diving for cover.

I do that sometimes because I can't see what is on all the shelves unless I am on the opposite side of the isle.

Stuart Walgreens during the day are the worst by far. Not just the pedestrians, but the people looking to park, and slowly creeping out of spots.

But, they're mostly seriously old-timers, so I patiently wait and try to avoid hitting the horn.

    NY/NJ and Miami?

There really isn't much of a difference, except the weather and the aggressiveness of the taxi drivers.

p.s. if you get a few feet behind a person walking down the middle of a parking aisle, they tend to move to the side pretty fast.
