Man you are about seven hours too late. Did you see all the archery permits are gone. For whatever reason they decided to have it today instead of next Tuesday like they were supposed to. Pretty messed up

Says phase 3 starts 7/30 which is today, not next Tuesday. I snagged an archery!

There was like 400 M/L hunts for Citrus and they were gone within 5 minutes.

Ya that's what I thought originally until Katie at licensing and permitting (who is a supervisor by the way) said no permits would be available until next Tuesday which is on the schedule. Today was supposed to be the first day to return permits not fcfs. Needless to say I got shafted. In the six years they have done the redraws it has NEVER been on a Wednesday. Complete bull****. The only permits that should've been made available for today would've been all the leftover permits that didn't get picked up in the first phase or the second phase not returned permits.

Well that sucks. Hope I didn't miss out on any of the ones I'm looking for.

The early archery hunts were the only decent tags, everything else was leftover from phase 2.

Phase 3 has nothing to do with the FCFS. Today was supposed to be the first day to return permits not an actual redraw. Straight from FWC.

    Re-Issuance Schedule
Returned quota permits will be available for re-issuance every 7 days in Phase III after the initial start date of the phase. Permits returned by 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Friday will be reissued first-come, first-served at 10:00 am Eastern time the following Tuesday. There will be a separate column in the list of available permits that will display the returned permits as they are returned. Applicants may check after midnight on Friday to view which permits will be available on the following Tuesday.

I even talked to Eddie White today and he stated that they weren't supposed to be up until next Tuesday. He said that Brenda Brand decided to do it today even though it wasn't on the schedule. To me that isn't right to just change it without any notice. Just another F-UP on the part of FWC. What else is new...

If this is true, you definitely have a valid concern, but I don't expect anything less from this useless agency. It really isnt as difficult as these morons make it.

Who the hell is she to decide to do something that is different from what is posted publicly online? That should be grounds for termination! But there's no accountability here, so she'll probably get a promotion

Total BS....nothing was even posted as available? It says nothing about fcfs today. I almost called license and permitting, but it wouldn't have been good.

It's not really clear on the site. It does say Ph 3 starts today...and it does say the drawings will be every 7 days after the initial start date...but it doesn't really specify if there's a drawing on the 1st day or not.

There can still be a drawing even if nothing has been returned yet since there were FCFS leftovers available for ML and GG.

They really need to shorten the Ph 1 to 10-14 days and Ph 2 to 5-7 days so these early hunts down S aren't screwed up!

That's fine if it isn't clear on the website but when 2 different people at Licensing and Permitting told me that the redraws don't start until next Tuesday then that is BS. It also says that permits that are returned after Friday won't be available until the following Tuesday. Well, one DI permit and the Spirit archery permit (my daughter's) I returned on Monday so that would be after Friday wouldn't it???? That meant they should be available NEXT Tuesday, not today!!!! What a joke!!!

Since when do you have a FCFS free for all on the first day that you are allowed to return them!?

Apparently FWC can do whatever they want and not have to be held accountable...

So the only ones that went out were the leftovers and the ones that were returned today before 10am (shouldn't be many)? Or have people been returning for several days now?

they've only been returning since today. I returned a flying eagle muzz permit at noon and someone has already taken it so that tells me that as soon as you are turning them back they are able to be snatched up all day...

Yeah that's messed up if they told you one day and then did it on another. I thought it was going to be next tues after reading the comments on here and reading the FWC site, but I figured I would check at 10am just in case.

Yeah, I returned a Lake Marion Creek hog tag in the afternoon and it's gone now, so...

How do you guys know that returned tags are going straight through and being made available?

How can you tell it has been taken? Normally wouldn't it show up as up for the next drawing on Tues on tomorrows availability list?

I don't, actually. Just a guess, since it says the tags are sold out.

In years past as soon as you returned a permit it would show up on the available list. Maybe they aren't going to compile the list until Friday from now on. Who knows anymore?? Its pretty obvious the people in charge don't even know what the **** is going on.

I think the list is normally updated every night, at least that's how it was last year. Will be interesting to see what the morning brings.

I just returned one that was a sold out hunt and it said sold out right after so I don't think they're being made instantly available (maybe for the hunts where there's still more than 1 avail). I think they're just not displaying the returns right now.

You better return some more, ya know, just to make sure
