Look like we gain a weekend on the only teal season but we lost a week on the end of January is always something.

Doesn't look like we lost anything. Still 60 days of regular season.

That's correct. We are not losing any days at all. The regular season is still 60 days and ends the last Sunday of January (as it always does). The additional 4 days of teal only will be added to the early teal/wood duck season and is still pending approval by USFWS. It has not yet been finalized but is anticipated to be accepted.

If there is a 2nd early teal hunt in sta's there will
Be a conflict of interest for the duck and gator hunters.

There won't be a second hunt at the stas during early teal season per Jamie Fedderson.

It is still late, the ducks come the week before that, last yeat I watched ducks all over the place the two weekends before the early season. The day the early season opened, not one duck to be found. :(

I am sure it is different in south FL.

Maybe should team up gator hunters and duck hunters. When the gator comes to take the duck the gator hunter harpoons them. Problem gators get fewer and both can hunt

there were more teal here the week after than before.

    Whats a teal? :rotflmao ...

Plan on going to Michigan Sept 1 for their first "early teal" in 60 years!...My buddy is pretty jazzed about it.....then back here for ours...then back to Michigan for their opener...where there are thousands of Wood ducks.

I find it hard to believe anyone is so excited about shooting "little brown birds" in 90 degree heat... both sexes look the same in September and you can kill a train car load in January.... and the Drakes are pretty then.

I'll go kill some Wood ducks during the first 5 days like always...then a few teal for the last 4 days.

And yet, you are going to travel to Michigan to hunt teal and back here to hunt our teal. You could just stay up there...for good.

Anyone know if they are proposing to move the limit up to six? I know that there was talk of 4 Teal/2 Woodrows.

Those little brown ducks are sure a lot of fun when they come 20-30-40-100 at a time to the blocks. I'll take that in my swim trunks anyday over a few Woodrow's flying by.

    But too each his own.

Enjoy you sept sounds like it will be fun. No early goose in MI also?

Those teal, the same teal that could be here in two days are going to look the same as they do here in September. If anything, they look uglier from the outside than the ones who have been here a week or two. Shooting ducks beats the **** out of fishing in 90* heat. Besides, duck eats better than most of those wormy trout and reds. How you call that edible fish.....

Yes, the very same teal..... but not going for the teal...but for the HUNT. We'll also go get geese...and maybe some Pheasant...

As for fish....My friend owns a trolling fly company so we'll go get some steelhead.

PS...I guess you didn't know that slot size Reds are not wormy...and are considered edible by many.
