Like the title says.... Cob corn or kernel corn. I've heard it all and good from both.

Person in PA got ticket for hunting over residue when there was a piece of cob near tree stand. Kernel goes away. There baiting is not allowed. Coons and such will also haul cobs off. Neighbor feeds by cob on his property and we find cobs hundreds of yards away on our property.

I like it on the cob, roasted for an hour or so on the smoker in the shucks, served with melted butter and garlic salt

If you are trying to feed the deer, I'd go with the cob. Rodents, Turkeys and small game seem to wipe out the kernel much faster.

Simple feeders or corn pile. You decide.

    pros feeders:
    controls game movement
    uses less feed
    keeps corn fresh n dry

    cons feeders:
    damage repairs = expenses
    bear tear em up bad

    corn piles pro:
    easy to just dump
    no feeder maintenance

    corn pile con:
    game feed when they want
hogs, small critters everything eats all the time
molds easier rain = wet = mold = aflatoxin

You decide. I use feeders recently I had to build frame structures to keep the bears out of the feeders.

Cob, on the ground lasts longer vs kernel.
