I got drawn for Tosohatchee WMA for muzzleloader, gen gun and hog season. I have never hunted it before and am planning to do some scouting soon (if it would stop raining) I am not asking for secret spots, can anybody point me into the right direction in that place. I am not looking for a monster buck. I have no problem with does or hogs. I will take what I can get in this Florida environment. thanks for your info.

If they have heavy rains, they start shutting down roads starting with Fish Hole.
This should be a great acorn year, so they should all be focusing on the acorns.
If you look on an aerial you will see a big cleared swath that runs north to south. It is both south and north of the beach line. You can reach the northern portions by a main road in the preserve, the road run kinda east to west across the linear open area. You can park were they meet.
The north end of that cut area (old ditch that was filled in 15 or so years ago) contains a small creek. Hogs. There are some nice hammock along the cut, burned flatwoods and small ponds. I would head north along that cut and scout if I were hunting there.
Lots of bucks dying of old age in the grass.
Do tell!
There's one guy I know in particular that has success hunting 'em in the grass. Been at it for years. the boy's got eyes like an eagle, and strong binos! Lol!
