Naples help

Moving down to Napes for school in the fall and I'm definitely going to want to try my hand at fishing down there. Although I'm pretty clueless as to how to fish that area. Being from northeast florida, I'm used to the murky water and all that. Since I'll be in school I'll be doing all my fishing from land. So if anyone can help me out on any places to try, what to look for, typical rigs and lures used down there? That would be great.

Thanks in advance!

No boat: Try the pier just to see how the "locals" fish it. Delnor wiggins state park....far north end for thigh deep wading.
white spro jigs, 3/8 ounce. 4' curl tail grubs on 1/4 or 3/8 jig heads. Yo-Zuri jerk baits. Tip the jigs with shrimp.
That should be a quick start. Good luck!

Thanks man. How do you use the spro bucktail? Like is it a steady retrieve or do you jerk it?

Cast, let it sink foe 1-4 seconds depending on water depth. Jerk, 2 turns of the reel, sink for 1/2 second, twitch, reel, sink, ad infinitum.
Oh yeah, set the hook with any pressure. As my accounting professor once told me: Hook sets are free!
Hope to be down in that area for a late October birthday 3-day fishing getaway. Love Marco/Caxambas in the fall!!!
