Boynton Beach 6/28/14

Don't have much to share, but I figured I'd contribute.

Left the inlet by 6:45 or so, for whatever reason it was super hairy in there this AM...but I'm a noob. Might be the tiny boat we fish out of... Mission was to catch dinner for a BBQ we are having at my place tonight.

Headed out to ~1200ft and didn't see much of anything. Came back in around 700 and set up on the weeds. With in a few minutes we have 10 or so small dolphin cruising around the boat. They came and went for about an hour or so. Probably caught 15 dolphin total here, but only 3 worth keeping. Decided to leave fish to find fish. Went in to ~500 and it was dead, minus some super sized blue runners.

Back out to ~650 ft. Not looking too promising. Start cutting up all the sardines we had to try and make something happen since we had a commitment at noon. Nothing...nothing...nothing. WHAM. ~25lb bull nails my buddy's free lined sardine. Fish put a serious bend in my friend's bass rod. Made the day, thats for sure.

We felt like we did pretty good for a bunch of amateurs.
