Fishing is my passion, if I'm not on a charter I'm thinking, watching, reading or writing about fishing. I love it and admit I may have an addiction. So had a day off and booked a trip myself to knock out a bucket list item. Catch a swordfish, and do it during the day in the deep water. Booked a trip with the best, Capt Bouncer Smith, headed out this morning and first drop got my wish. A 82" 100 pound sword. Not a monster, but I'll take it. A mess of mahi also filled the box pretty quickly and we headed in before the weather got us. An awesome day, with a wonderful charter captain. Sorry it's out of our area, but had to share.

Thanks fellas, this was a great experience. I must say, I love the glades, but that blue water bug is giving me an itch. In the past year got a blue marlin and sail in the pacific, Atlantic sail and now a sword. Gonna stay at it till we get every species of billfish in the world. Might take a while, but I sure like the challenge.

Bouncer is first rate, and has been for years and years. I was lucky enough to learn a thing or two from him way back when (1973) when he got his first job as a captain out of the old Castaways docks.

freakin awesome. Looks like a hell of a day out there too. I've heard he's one of the real greats and by all the great fish i see in photos with him, it must be the truth. Thanks for sharking.

Haven't been in 20 years but everytime I see a Frigate Bird circling high it all comes back no matter where I'm at..

Any day fishing with bouncer is a good day. Have been wanting to go catch a sword with him but doubt the kids have the patience.
