If it'll be opened up on the south side of 75 then I'm game for getting in the quota pool. If it's only the north side around looneyville not so much. That area has been picked over.

This quote from a 2011 Sun Sentinel article says its perfectly.
Joel Marco of the Everglades Conservation Sportsman Club also wanted access for all.

"I'm inclusive," Marco said to the non-hunters, who were a majority of the 50 people in the room. "You people are exclusive. That's not the way the world works today."

Not positive about the South side since the proposed rule only mentions vehicular traffic being authorized N of I-75 on the L-28 interceptor levee.

I have emailed the head guy on this for clarification about the South area. Will have an answer by Wednesday.

I agree with your perceptions on the North side but the South side may have been used hard and put away wet also if u no what I mean.

Just remember FWC agrees only 150 deer are left in the addition lands...

Oh I imagine it's (south) been picked over too. In my time working out there though I had the fun of striking out and just trying to get lost. Came across some absolute beauties that would rival them chocolate bucks from deep lake. I'm just glad it's finally progressing, got tired of having to tell people "maybe next year" year after year. Guess this means somebody will be setup at the new "access" point on the alley as a check station?

    Thanks for keeping us posted.

Well here's the latest concerning the Additions hunt rule to be discussed at next week's FWC meeting in Ft Myers as of about 9:00 am this morning.

Hunting on foot only will be allowed N and S of I-75 from the L-28 Interceptor canal as well as the other recreational access sites..

Hunter's street legal vehicles with FL license tags (NO Orv's) will be allowed on the L-28 I levees N of I-75 but not S of I-75.

Thirty three (33) quota permits total will be available for the area.

This is a very conservative beginning but last minute concessions were forced upon the proposal by folks other than FWC. The FWC is not alone in this since the Feds and panther folks, Native Americans as well as our types have provided comments for the last few years on this.

Bottom line is I believe the agencies with jurisdiction over the Addition are lined up to do this but as we all know the sorry forked tongue bunny huggin' green crackheads will pull out all the stops to prevent this since they make a lot money off the suckers that support them whenever they can claim or spin a story that they protected/obstructed/preserved/stalled/got in the way of something.

I anticipate a last minute filing by the Enviros in hopes of delaying this even further. I hope that I am wrong, very wrong.
Increasing MMGW or climate change, one twist off at a time.
