Catching Fresh Water Bait Fish?

From land i fish for large mouth bass & i'm using various types of small live bait fish. I catch the bait fish using worms purchased from walmart. Are there alternative baits i can use to catch the bait fish?

Small dough balls from a piece of bread is always what I've used. Little pieces of GULP or fishbites work also.

I'm considering a "casting net" to catch bait fish from shore. What is the smallest bait fish "cast net" i can purchase?

You don't need the smallest... a 5ft net really isn't that big and will catch a lot of shiners..
heck I can throw a 5ft around and under docks at times.... bread to bring them up and keep
them in an area... I like to feed them and keep feeding them for awhile.... they will always come
back to that area if you do it enough times...
