Blackfin & Mahi - Ponce Inlet 5/24

Fished on Saturday May 24th with my father, uncle, and friend on the vessel "Killin Time". Had a solid 40+ lb bull boatside at 9 AM that we unfortunately lost. However, we continued to fish hard and managed 5 nice dolphin up to 24lbs and a couple of Blackfin.

    Nice Day.

I hate to lose a good fish at the boat, but it happens.

How deep were you? I imagine you were probably a good 40 miles out?

Pink & white popper tipped with seaweed and a green & gold billy bait. My uncle was reeling in a bait to clear off weed and another rod gets slammed. Subsequently, I take the rod he had in his hand to finish reeling in the dirty bait and it gets hit. Guess they like a side salad with their ballyhoo.
