Blue shark on the flats off of Giger Key

Yeah, the title is right. This is by far the weirdest thing I've ever seen down here. I've heard of swordfish and makos on the flats but never blue sharks. I don't even think Florida has a run of them. It was spotted on the flats in 2' of water off Giger Key and swam into a mangrove island and got stuck. The fish was obviously disoriented and looked injured... My buddy hoped in the water and put a tail rope around it and brought it onto his skiff. He called FWC and they said the fish was legal. It was about 8 1/2ft long
