Mahi Fishing Port, Ponce, Stuart 4/26/27/28

Well I tried for the trifecta this weekend. Friday Saturday and Sunday fishing....None on the 224 as I just finished replacing all new steering, including helm, wheel, cylinder hoses at 1am Thursday Morning.

Well went out on a Key west 21 Bay reef-33 miles...out of Port Canaveral. Put lines in at 125'

Trolled out to 300ft and only picked up one Phin. lots of scattered weeds

It was a great day on the water and fun company. We grabbed a few large sea bass and lanes on the way in. Not a great catching day.
Woke up:4:30am- fished and home for softball at 6:30= Bed at 12:00AM

Day 2:Ponce Inlet
Up at 3:45 at ramp early

Was invited by Jay on his 23 Sailfish

Worked north out of Ponce inlet out to a magic number...details cant be disclosed[:0] Trolled skirted and naked hoo on circle hooks. This will be a new technique for me to use as it was simple and easy! We grabbed some nice dolphin

Had some great eats on some. Had some neighbors over for Mahi tacos as well as Grilled w/ a lemon basil butter

Washed Boat= cleaned up, chatted with a friend in NSB- Home at 11:30PM
So since Thursday Morning I am on 7 hours of sleep....

Day 3: I was told I could not make this trip (by wife) It was a 2 hour ride south to Stuart- NO quantity I was told but plenty of quality. My buddy Bill with a 38lb bull

The "Get The Gaff" is back in action and will be ready to troll on the 9th and the 24th. Till then!
